Project Description
Ingredients (for 4 people):
- marinating can take 30 minutes minimum or up to 2 hours maximum
- a cup of Maple Syrup Balsamic Vinegar Dark – Terra del Tuono
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 T-bone steaks, each about 1 inch thick
- 1 1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper and salt, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation
- In a small saucepan, combine the Maple Syrup Balsamic and the soy sauce. Simmer over low heat until mixture is slightly syrupy and reduced by one-third, about 10 to 14 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature
- Place the steaks in a resealable plastic bag. Pour the cooled balsamic-maple mixture into the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes
- Preheat the grill
- Remove the steaks from marinade, reserving marinade in a small saucepan. Place steaks on the grill
- Cook them for 12 to 15 minutes, until just cooked to taste
- While meat cooks, heat saucepan with marinade over high heat and bring to a boil. Then lower heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes to reduce by about one-third
- After meat is cooked, drizzle the simmered reserved marinade on top, and serve immediately
